Meet the Team

Jack 'Snake' Barton
Wide Receiver
Jack is a tall, elusive and dangerous receiver with form for a ridiculous play on his day. We found, much to Nick Logan’s misfortune, that Jack has granite knees and they aren’t to be messed with.

"Snake" as he has been affectionately dubbed is often found slithering through the week making no attempt to socialise with the rest of the team and actively avoiding others. Also has impeccable taste in trousers.

Lewis Jaundrell
Quarterback, Corner Back & Coach
After being the driving force behind our inception and successful rise to the Premier Division Lewis opted to step away from the sport. He’s back now though and ready to help the team wherever he can and his ability and knowledge of the game will be invaluable.

Lewis is best known within the team though for his remarkable talent to be able to backdoors it from many a team social event, he’ll hand you a freshly bought pint whilst “nipping to the toilet” never to be seen again. Impressive really.

Calvin Strong
Corner Back
Calvin is our youngest member of the team but don’t let that fool you, he has confidence to burn and now the experience to go with it. Calvin has recently moved to University where he’s been making an impact for their Flag Team where possible and we hope he can bring that additional expertise back to us soon.

Having joined the team group chat Calvin wasted no time in making a mark; despite his sometimes unassuming nature in person he’s always quick with a comeback or a hot take. Sometimes just as quick to kill the conversation dead though as effectively as he does an opposition play.

Aiden 'Windstroke' Rogers
Wide Receiver
Aiden, the Revs big bodied receiver is a threat all over the field let alone a Red Zone target, our #10 is a matchup nightmare for defences across the country and a firm favourite target for QB Richard Keates.

Completely to blame for the state of most of the team at our Superbowl parties, Aiden’s youthful exuberance for nights out couldn’t power him through a serious bought of windstroke for a team social and since then his health has been in question. #WindstrokeIsReal

Dean Leaver
Captain & Defensive Back
Our Captain Fantastic, Dean not only is an incredible leader off the field but is also one of our best players on it. Having transitioned from Corner Back to Safety it’s safe to say he handled the move backwards on the field far better than his hairline has.

As Dean’s stat lines will show, he’s a menace for opposition QBs and receivers, locking down opponents at every opportunity but even that sort of success doesn’t stop him sneaking onto the offence whenever he can.

Matt Meir
Safety & Wide Receiver
Matt's busy work schedule and young family means we don't get to have him on the pitch as often as we would like. With his pace and ability to the read the game it’s rare that Matt is beaten either in the air or on the ground, we think he’s one of the best safeties in the country even if he would never have it. Another one of our best defensive players that fancies themselves as a receiver… Annoyingly, he’s very good at that as well.

Thanks to the nature of his real life job, off the field Matt has done amazing work helping with our media from videos to branding and everything in between.

Mark Bradbury

Corner Back & Centre

Mark had a more than solid season on both sides of the ball when called upon, reading offences superbly and positioning himself to make play after play on the defensive side for the Cogs. He also stepped up and showed a sneaky level of athleticism, shiftiness and hands when lining up at centre.

Easily a player that would be considered for our Most Improved, Mark also made a trip north of the border on a tough away day with the Revs and gave a very good account of himself yet again. Another player with a young family and work commitments, we’re hoping Mark will be back with the team regularly soon.

Matt Anderson
Wide Receiver & Corner Back
Matt is the Revolutions tallest player making him an obvious threat at receiver. With lots of touchdowns to his name Anders is one of the team’s leading point scorers and with ridiculous hands, he is always a safe outlet for the QBs, just don’t be expecting much after the catch.

In complete contrast to his height, Anderson has a bafflingly short stride and as you can see from most game week photos, he is also one of the most un-photogenic people you'll meet.

Daz Thomas
Centre
Daz is one of our centres and is an absolute scoring machine, his change of pace and agility make him another matchup nightmare. Missing much of our debut season, Daryl made his mark in a big way with a leadership role for the Cogs, one of the leaders in receptions and points on the field as well as off it for the development team.

His number was chosen because of his unnatural love for David Beckham and the fact number 7 is only one digit and we all know Daryl likes to get his money's worth.

Danny Meir
Centre & Wide Receiver
Another serious talent with the ball going forward and one of our leading scorers, with ridiculous hips and cuts on a dime Danny boasts some of the best yards after catch ability in the league. However having joints made from papier-mâché we hold our breath whenever our number 25 hits the deck.

Dan is probably the safest bet for our quarterbacks to target and can throw a tighter spiral through his legs, upside down than most QBs! But, when called upon he’s been known to throw it well enough right-way up as well.

Josh Lee
Wide Reciever & Corner Back
Unfortunately for Josh his rookie season and much of his early training was cut short before he could show his skills. No doubt he’ll be eager to get going when we’re finally allowed and have an impact for the Cogs on both sides of the ball.

NFL Team – New York Giants

Ben Smith
Corner Back & Blitzer
A very successful rookie season for Ben saw him develop a lot in his fundamentals and it’s a rare sight to see him miss a tackle or take a bad angle. Ben’s also seen a massive improvement in his hand placement and catching ability, which was needed because previously he might as well have had nubs.

Ben is always in the right place at the right time and is never far away from a tackle that’ll have you thinking “That was legitness”. In the spirit of being in the right place at the right time, watch out for him on a night out, he’s always got a video or two to remind you of your drunken escapades.

Jamie Lyness
Blitzer & Corner Back
A nightmare for QBs, Lyno is one of the most effective blitzers around, with pace to spare and hops for days he gives opposition signal callers very little window for success. Yet another defensive player that’s angling for snaps on offence (there’s a theme here isn’t there) Lyno has the ability to be effective all over the field.

Lyno has thrown himself into many league-wide activities such as the NEC tournament teams, local exhibition scratch teams and even GB open trials. His passion not only for the team but the sport in general is great to see.

Dan Sutherland
Wide Receiver & Blitzer
Described by our QBs as a “cheat code”, Dan might be the fastest man alive. As a rookie for the Cogs, Dan took the top off of pretty much every defence he faced as well as making big gains from the backfield.

Dan developed a reputation though for the consistent appearances he made on the floor attempting a cut of a sweep, must be the wrong sort of football seeping into his game. We hope some new cleats are on order for our much anticipated return.

Adam 'Mouse' Gray
Defensive Back
Despite the diminutive nickname, Mouse is one of our tallest players and can be found largely on the far right of our defence. Rarely will you see a receiver blow past him to be left in a cloud of dust, Mouse has speed on him and will use that to his advantage. Always holding a good line and never letting adverse weather like snow affect his performance, Adam is expecting a bump again in his numbers this season.

One of the best tacklers we’ve ever seen, Mouse will often be found making game saving diving tackles or ridiculously athletic plays from nowhere. Although he refuses to accept much praise, opting for more of a self-deprecating style, he’s a huge influence on and off the field.

Jack Hutchings
Quarterback, Wide Receiver & Defensive Back
As a rookie, Jack was thrown into the thick of things with the Cogs and after a game week found himself QBing the development squad. Taking this challenge head on it was clear Jack had the arm talent to get the best out of his receivers, if not quite the temperament for the position.

He grew into his role leading the offence and very deservedly won rookie of the year, not only displaying his arm talent for the Cogs, but also his versatility as one of the leading defensive players as well as performances at receiver during OFL.

George Dodd
Wide Receiver
George comes to the team with a wealth of experience across the game in both flag and contact, often seen playing wherever and whenever he can up and down the country. With great hands, ridiculous hips and sharp routes, George can be an absolute nightmare for defences when lined up anywhere on the field.

Seen almost exclusively in a sleeveless jersey and his roots in basketball, he has an eye for the flashy play whether it’s a one handed grab, a dip or racing away for the touchdown luscious locks trailing in the breeze.

Andrea Secco
Wide Receiver, Defensive Back & Blitzer
Andrea originally comes from Italy, with electrifying pace, height and a real willingness to learn, Andrea has shown excellent flashes of his big play ability down the field and with the ball in his hands.

Having had his opportunity for league experience cut short first by injury and then due to COVID, Andrea will no doubt be looking to finally make his impact for the Cogs in their league outings this year.

NFL Team – Pittsburgh Steelers

Richard Keates
Quarterback & Safety
Keates helmed the Revs as they began their life in the Premier Division, using his athletic talents as well as his arm strength and vision, he was able to put up some phenomenal numbers and lead the team in their debut top flight season impeccably. Light on his feet and inventive in the pocket, Keates can beat teams in a number of different ways which is a cause of much frustration of a lot of defences.

With experience on both sides of the ball and a huge fan of the NFL and many other sports, Keates draws from a lot of knowledge that influences both his style of play and decision making, in fact the only thing that causes us concern is the fact that this summer sport wreaks havoc on his fair skin.

Nick 'Baby Shark' Logan
Blitzer
Nick has been blessed with the nickname Baby Shark thanks to his lethal blitzing and quickness, we’re not sure if he likes it… But we do! Unfortunately due to an innocuous but gruesome injury, Nick missed the majority of last season’s action so he’ll be chomping at the bit to bounce back this year.

We think it’s fair to say Nick is the embodiment of the spirit of this team in a person, always up for a pint, or a laugh or a night out but also wants to win. He’ll be missed on the field this season but no doubt a big part of the team off it.

NFL Team – Chicago Bears

Career Stats

Markos Kapoutsos
Wide Receiver & Safety
Markos continues compliment of Mediterranean players, as a rookie he has been able to ply his trade in the OFL and in the Cogs debut season and has shown some good ball hawking skills. An exuberant player who’s effort to make a play can sometimes be misconstrued as recklessness; Markos will be hoping to have an impact again this season on the back end of the Cogs defence.

At certain points we’re not certain Markos is even still on the team until the sun comes out and the days get longer and suddenly he reappears.

Jake Shaw
Wide Receiver & Defensive Back
Our very own Mr GB and former Division One North Offensive Player of the Year will no doubt be delighted with his frankly ridiculous first BAFA season in the Prem for the Revs. Electrifying pace, precise route running, good hips and a ridiculous spin cycle Jake has all the weapons to make him a nightmare for opposition defences and one many have tried and failed to game plan for.

Jake’s abilities and confidence on the field we’re sure can be attributed to his activities off it, whether that’s busting out a tango or dominating a ping-pong table Jake has lots of transferrable skills.

Melissa Jevins
General Manager, PR Manager & Official Photographer
We think it’s safe to say this team would be nothing without Mel. A constant on the sidelines, her ability to produce and post all of our social media work, from trick shot videos to events that we host, Melissa engages with thousands of our fans, friends and families every week across multiple social media platforms.

On game days Mel not only records all the guy’s stats for the day she’s also taking the best photographs in the game that are regularly used across other organisations helping to advertise and grow the game.

At a point where things were spiralling slightly for the team, Mel stepped up and took over the GM role and has kicked us on even further towards a trajectory of sustained growth and success for the club. We honestly can’t praise and thank her enough for the things she does both in public and behind the scenes.
