Interview MM

Next up in our interview series is Matty Meir. Matty is one of our strongest defenders who is always happy to jump onto the offense when needed. Find out what Matty has planned for this season on and off the pitch.
Last year you couldn’t play much due to work commitments but when you did play you were unreal. Can we expect to see you play more this season?
My reliability will always be questionable. With the work I do I can be working most weekends. Last year I was unlucky that most game days fell on the same day as Man City playing at home, which I had to work. This year is looking more promising and hopefully ill get to play most of the BAFA games but more importantly my flights are already booked for big bowl!

Your twin is now the head coach, how do you reckon he’s going to do?
Danny will be great at head coach. He will take no shit from the players and by the start of the season we will all be fitter and hopefully faster.

Your selfie catch trick shot video is our highest viewed video on Facebook. Are there going to be more videos from you this year?
I love a good trick shot, especially when it involves a beer. We might not have the ability of the dukes but I think we can compete with them. I have some plans for some crazy trick shots this season, one of them involves a couple of hot tubs.

What are your goals for this season? Are there any team records you want to break?
Goals for the season will be to play more but with or without me the team will succeed. We have some incredible players across the team especially on D. I think we have the potential for some shut outs this year. I'm pretty sure I've equaled the record for picks in a game but it wasn't documented so my aim will be to break that on a game day when Mel is counting.

Who on the team do you think we should watch out for this season?
LJ. He's the man. He is Warrington revolution. Guaranteed TDs with Lewis on the field.

What teams are you looking forward to playing this year?
I'm looking forward to playing Danny Cabs team the Oldham Owls. They are a bit of an unknown and could feature a few ringers not to mention Danny cab is more slippery than our resident snake Jack Barton. Should be a competitive game.
